With everything that is going on in the world, I wanted to spread a bit of positivity on how to stay fit at home. In my usual routine I spend a lot of time being active including time at the gym, so with them being closed and the advice being to stay indoors, I’m having to be a bit more pro-active with finding ways to keep fit.
Being active and engaging in exercise is not just good for your physical fitness, but it’s also good for your mental health which is incredibly important when we’re all stuck indoors for a while.
In light of all of this, you might be wondering where to start with home workouts, and good for you, I’m here to help with that! In this post I’m sharing with you my favourite home workout accounts and apps that *hopefully* you’ll enjoy just as much as me!
Kayla Itsines – Bikini Body Guide
Before our gyms were closed I had started to use the “Sweat by Kayla” app. This app has multiple programmes on it where you follow different workouts week by week and record your progress. Priced at £14.99 a month this is the perfect option if you’re looking for a longer term fitness programme to reach your goals.
In addition to the already existing PWR at Home programme by Kelsey Wells, designed for home workouts with minimal equipment, other programmes have recently been introduced such as FIERCE at Home by Chontel Duncan and Kayla Itsines BBG 1.0. These workouts are ideal if you’re stuck indoors and want 30-50 minutes of workouts.
Hannaoeberg
One of my favourite fitness Instagrammers is Hanna Oeberg, and she’s changing up her free workouts so that they are easy for you to follow at home. She’s recently had a baby herself, so I literally idolise this woman for her incredible efforts and what she wants us all to achieve.
All you need to do is visit her profile and you’ll find her workouts right there. If you’re loving her content she also has her own paid for workout guides which look incredible and can be found here.

Results Wellness Lifestyle (formerly Results with Lucy)
I heard through the grapevine that Lucy Meck’s fitness brand were offering free workouts over the next couple of weeks through Instagram Live, so I gave the Legs, Bums and Tums a go… safe to say this was an excellent home workout class.
Lasting 30 minutes, the RWL workouts focus on different areas of the body and take place throughout the week and varying hours of the day. Another benefit is that once the live video has finished the content stays on their profile for 24 hours, meaning you get to workout whenever suits you.
Samantha Tuner – Live.Love.Yoga
Sam is a yoga teacher and is currently offering her classes online for all of those looking to stay fit. Whilst she is a yoga teacher, she also does some HIIT classes and meditation – perfect for anyone who needs to take some time for themselves and just BREATHE.
On Monday (tomorrow), Sam will be offering her first two classes for free which is a Quick HIIT Class at 7am, followed by a Morning Stretch and Meditate at 7.30am. Other classes will run throughout the week at a small cost. Find out more about Sam here.

Courtney Black
Courtney is an Essex based fitness sensation on Instagram, and after becoming a personal trainer and selling workout guides, she’s now developed her own app. Similar to the BBG app, this is priced at £15.99 a month, and you’ll receive a discount if you buy for a longer period of time.
In addition to her workout plans and new app, she’s also started running Instagram live workout sessions which look incredible! Again, these last for 24 hours on her profile so you can check back and work out whenever it suits you. Head to her profile to learn more.
